Kevin Holmes at Nelson
Kevin Holmes. who recently became the first New Zealander to win the World Drivers' Championship. will be driving at the Nelson meeting tomorrow. Several drives are being arranged for him, the only definite one yesterday being Butler Brigade in the Caltex Gold Cup. Holmes is due to return to New Zealand from the United States today and he will drive at the Te Awamutu meeting this evening. A special award to mark Holmes’s success in the champkinship wil be made on behalf of the Trotting Conference at Nelson by the South Island vice-president. Mr H J. Hewson, of Kaikuura. „
