For field day

The Aroha Downs property of Mr John Austin, the winner of the South Island A. C. Cameron memorial gold medal this year, is to be the scene of a field day on Friday, June 30, beginning at 10.30 a.m. The day is being organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Oxford Young Farmers’ Club and Oxford Federated Farmers. A Ministry spokesman said that points of interest would be deer fanning, the Charolais stud and tree planting, apart from the well-managed property itself with good stock.
