Arrest an inside job
PA Auckland A young man who walked uninvited into a Remuera home on Thursday picked the wrong house to visit. His footsteps were heard by the house-owner, who was in the basement below, and the houseowner was <
a chief inspector of police, who promptly arrested the intruder. It was probably the last arrest Chief Inspector R. B. McCarthy will make in Auckland for some time. He is on leave before transferring to Whangarei, where he will take over as district commander today.
