Study trip to Canada
A bone specialist employed by the Canterbury Museum will leave New Zealand this week to spend three months studying in Canada. Mr R. J. Scarlett, the museum’s osteologist, has been awarded a grant by the Royal Ontario Museum at Toronto. He will conduct research there with Dr C. McGowan, who is the Canadian museums’ specialist. Mr Scarlett hopes also to collaborate with a scientist employed by the Canadians Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, on a paper which he believes should produce “particularly interesting” developments.
