Detention for housewife
PA Auckland A housewife, aged 17, has been sentenced by Mrs G. C. P. A. Wallace, S,M., to five months’s periodte detention, followed by 17 months’ probation, on five charges of burglary. She is Sharon Hura, who had earlier admitted the charges. The police offered no evidence on another charge of burglary, which was withdrawn. Counsel (Mr J. Beech) said Hura’s share of the proceeds of the burglaries was $5O. The police said earlier that the burglaries involved property valued at more than $5OOO and included a stereo, a colour television, set, cash, and electrical appliances.
