Akaroa buys, and sells, land blocks
The Akaroa County . Council yesterday' approved the sale of one of its endowment reserves for §121,400 and the purchase of the Greens Point property south-west of Akaroa township for $llB,OOO. Of the first deal, the County Chairman (Mr T. J. Brocherie) said: “The council has received the consent of the Minister pf Local Gov-1 ernment to sell the endow-: ment reserve, a 202.3 ha farm' property at Ashburton. It will be sold to the present! leasee, Kinlochewe Farm, Ltd.” Although no sale and pur-| chase agreement had yet| been signed, all financial ar-j rangements had been: com-! pleted, he said. Kinlochewe Farm had , two options for! payment: the payment of $90,000 at June 30 this year and the balance of $31,400!

A. Robinson, will extend the town- ! ship’s boundaries.
