Olympic money to fund travel
NZPA Athens The International Olympic Committee has approved a plan to hand Out some of its tele\islon revenue to help athletes around the world and subsidise their travel to the Olympic Games, the Associated Press reported. Each of the 133 national Olympic committees may ask for yUSJCtW a year from the 1.0.C.’s solidarity fundFrom 1930 onwards the 1.0. C. will pay for part of athletes’ travel expenses and part of their accommodation costs in Olympic villages. The amount available for this is still to be set. In addition to this aid, the 1.0.C.v.111 bo ready to hand out big sums to each continent for helping sports on a regional basis. From 1979.
