Song contest
Chris Bourn, the man in charge of TVl’s international songwriting contest, to be staged in the Christchurch Town Hall, says he is encouraged that professional songwriters are taking a keen interest in the contest. He and TVIY controller of programmes (Des Monaghan) were in Christchurch this week making arrangements for the event, which is to be beamed by satellite to countries in Asia and the Pacific.
