Midfielder transfers
The Trans Tours United midfielder, Colin Curry, will play soccer for Woolsttm W.M.C. for the remainder of this season.
Curry, on a contract with United, will definitely return to that club at the end of the season. The move might give Curry the chance he needs to prove himself at the top level. The Woolston coach (Mr Terry Mann) said that Curry has not really had a chance at United but believes that he will have a good chance of making the Woolston team.
It seems Curry will be the ideal replacement for the big midfielder, Hans Bisig, who has temporarily pulled out of the team to further his studies.
Bisig has struck a bad patch in the last couple of matches and Mr Mann feels the break will do him good.
Penrod moves
The Penrod ’74 oil rig should arrive at its new site, 70km east of Stewart Island, at the week-end, and begin anchoring at Tara No. 1 well, the first of two wells to be drilled at the sole expense of the Government. —(P.A.)
