Mr P. R. Kemp has been appointed a director of New Zealand United Corporation, Ltd. He joined the company at its inception in 1960, abd became money market manager in 1963. He was appointed general manager in February 1967, and will continue in this capacity.
E. Lichtenstein and Company, Ltd, has announced the retirement of Mr H. J. Lichtenstein as a director, after fifty years with the company. The vacancy on the board has been filled by the appointment of Mr J. Gemmell, who, until 1975, was an executive of U.E. B. Industries, Ltd.
Walker and Hall, Ltd, reports that Mr R. M. Leckie has retired as chairman, but will remain a director. Mr T. J. I. Tudehope has been appointed chairman. Mr A. W. Tattersfield has joined the board, having been appointed an additional director.
Mr H. E. Read has accepted an invitation to the board of directors of NZI Financial Corporation, and its subsidiaries NZI Finance, Ltd, NZI Securities, Ltd, and NZIMD, Ltd. Mr S. N. S. Crump has also accepted appointment to the same boards as alternate to Mr I. H. MacDonald, the general manager of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. Mr Crump was the Auckland district manager of the Bank of New Zealand.
The B.N.Z. Finance Company, Ltd, advises that Mr Colin M. Small has recently retired from the company, which he has served since its incorporation in 1966. He was chief executive of the B.N.Z. Finance group of companies since the merger with first New Zealand International, Ltd, in July 1977. Mr Small is succeeded by Mr James V. Hughes, who had extensive overseas experience before joining First New Zealand International in April 1974.
