Bonus Bonds prizes
Sir, — I am very angry with the Post Office for increasing the weekly Bonus Bonds prize to $7500. Why did they not give the extra $5OO as another prize? Thousands of dollars go into this colossal money-making racket. Surely this demands larger, extra prizes each draw, enabling more bondholders to get a w’orthwhiie return on their investment. The huge list of tiny peace offerings of $lO and $25 are a big disappointment. Of w’hat use are these small winnings to the lucky few? A hundred dollars would be quite a help with inflation. I am sure the general bondholder agrees that there should be a revision of the small prizes to increase their size. — Yours, etc., E. WILSON, Ashburton. April 14, 1978.
