Glider escape
Two East Germans have escaped to West Berlin by glider, landing their craft at a British military airport on the edge of the city, the police save said. The two were taken into British custody, said city officials, who said they had no details of the escape flight. The glider was reported to have come down at Gatow, a British military field next to the Berlin Wall along the southwestern edge of the city. — Berlin.
