Edward Ayrton, name of applicant. 4494 AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a monthly meeting of the Akaroa County Council held of) the 30th of March, 1978, the following resolution was passed by way of Special Order and will be submitted for confirmation at a special meeting of the Council to be held at 8 p.m.. on Monday, the Bth of May. 1978, at the Information Centre, Akaroa. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1956, and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments thereto and all other Acts enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of the sanctions received, the Akaroa County Council hereby resolves to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the Pensioner Flat Loan, 1978, for an amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($lo,000) for the purposes of providing three pensioner rental flats in the Akaroa Township subject to the following determinations:
1. That the maximum term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years. 2. That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be three decimal point five (3.5) per cent per annum, reviewable three yearly, or at the rate ruling for this class of loan at the date of the first progress payment. 3. That the said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate half-yearly Instalments of principal and interest. 4. That no interest, instalment of principal and interest, or payment to a sinking fund shall be paid outside New Zealand or out of loan money. 5. That the security for the repayment of the said loan and charges thereon shall be a special rate of decimal point nought one two on« cents (.0121) ip the dollar ($) on the land value of all rateable property in the Akaroa Township or Akaroa Riding which said special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan (such rate not being levied or collected as the loan charges will be met from rentals received from the flats). 6. la) That where no part of this loan is raised within 3 years after the date of sanction, the Authority shall lapse at the expiration of that period, and no proceedings shall thereafter be taken for raising the loan. (b) That where part only of the loan Is raised within a period of 3 years from the date of sanction, the Authority to raise the balance of the loan shall lapse at the expiration of 10 years from the date of sanction. PUBLIC NOTICE is also given that a poll of ratepayers will be taken if not less than 15 per cent of the ratepayers within the Akaroa Riding so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned and received at the office of the Council not later than the day proceeding the date of the said meeting. A full copy of this resolution is deposited at the office of the Akaroa County Council, Duvauchelle, and is open for the inspection of the public during office hours until the sth day of May, 1978.
