Man killed by girder
PA Wellington A Wellington man was killed when his car was crushed by a steel bridge girder at Pukerua Bay .He was Dennis Leslie Galler, aged 24, of Thorndon. A passenger in Mr Caller’s car, Karen Greenburg, of Wellington, was reported in a fair condition in the Wellington Hospital. The 25m girder crushed the car when it fell from a truck owned by Coastal Freighters, Ltd, after a chain securing them snapped. The girders were being delivered from Levin to Pofirua for the Ministry of Works.
