Charlson in good trim

Charlson, which ran an improvers third on the final day of the Riverton Easter carnival, worked in an easy manner at Ascot Park, yesterday. The trestles were 35ft out on a dead track. Charleson, nicely weighted in the Wairio Cup on Saturday, was travelling better than Kadesha at the end of their 800 m in 52sec. Mr Charicles was not out for time in his solo 600 m in 41.2 sec. Christian John was galloping strongly at the end nf 800 m in 54sec. He had two lengths on Brodie at the finish.
