F. Newfield to defend title tomorrow evening

Felix Newfield, winner of the title when the series was introduced 12 months ago, has drawn Timely Robin, Paula Brigade and Bankstown in the second drivers’ championship meeting at Addington Raceway tomorrow evening.

Only the Teachers Handicap, for C 3 pacers, attracted a capacity field among the four events for invited drivers. Enough horses remained in the three remaining events for each of the horsemen to be given two further drives. The winner will be decided on a points basis. The Winner of each event will

(receive 16 points, the run-ner-up 14 points, the third : place-getter 13 points, and so on down to one for the person finishing last in the (Teachers Handicap.
