Varsity hockey team
The New Zealand Universities men’s hockev team to make a ithree-week tour of Australia (from May 1 to 22 has been named Iby the selectors (Messrs C. V. (Walter. T. E. Eggleton and B. (Berkeley). It is: | Keith Stanners (Massey); Wayne Buckingham (Victoria). I Lance Wiltshire (captain. AuckHand), Christopher Seelev (Otago); Greg Pierce (Canterbury), Craig Galloway. Graeme Hall (both Masseyt. Gerard Guillen. Simon Loudon (both Otago); Neil Edmundson <vice-captain). frank Borren, Ross Meyer fall Canterbury), Peter Chapman (Otago), Ross Fowler (Auckland), David iSteele (Massey).
Mr Walter will be manater- | coach of the team. The itinerary is still being finalised. but Mr Walter expects | the team will play 13 matches, (Including two "tests ” Games will be in Hobart. Mel- . bourne. Sydney. XVoollongong, (Newcastle. Brisbane and (anberra. The matches against Australian Universities will he in 'Canberra on the last week of the tour.
