Lodge lease sold
An Auckland group has bought the lease of the Lodge Hotel, Hanmer Springs, after the hotel went into receivership, and the receiver sold the lease. Under the former leaseholder, Lodge Inns, Ltd, the hotel complex, built in the early 19305, was being extensively renovated. The new leaseholder is Lorramac Holdings, Ltd. The company’s principals were not available for comment last evening. The 54-room Lodge has a Government valuation of ssBoo,ooo. Lodge Inns, Ltd, had bought the Lodge lease last year from Hanmer Properties, Ltd, which had itself bought it from a partnership in 1975.
