Mr Beetham gets officer

PA Palmerston North The Social Credit spokesman on finance, Mr L. Hunter, of Palmerston North, has been appointed full-time research officer to the league’s leader and member of Parliament for Rangitikei, Mr B. C. Beetham. Mr Hunter will take up duties immediately. Although he will be a member of the Legislative Department and paid by the Government, his services will be strictly to Mr Beetham. The appointment, which is in line with the provision of full-time research staff for the two main parties, was recently approved by the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon).
