‘Ship of future’

The “ship of the future” is an automated freighter with a crew of 12 as envisaged by shipowners and shipbuilders in the Federal Republic of Germany to cut costs and keep abreast of other seafaring nations. In addition to design research and development, crews are to be trained to combine both nautical and engineering skills.
