Miller) said that the New Zealand Badminton Federation would increase the affiliation fees of an regional bodies Of the $2 fee last season, $1.25 went to the local association and 75c to the national body. The 75c levy would rise to SI.IO. A complaint about lack of heating facilities at the Skellerup Hall was answered by one of Canterbury’s leading players, Peter Whiting, who said that a cool hall was preferable from a player's point of view.
Conditions may not be particularly pleasant for spectators but if the hall was insulated or heated, another type of shuttit would have to be used. A heated hall would also be an unfair disadvantage to local players when they travelled to other centres and encountered cooler conditions. Playing tees were Increased by 10c, to 51.30 for A grade and A reserve players, and to 80c for players in all other grades. Officers elected were:—Patron, Mr V R. Skellerup: president, Mr A. G.
