Acid spillage halts traffic
A spillage of four litres of chromic acid disrupted traffic at the intersection of Byron land Gasson Streets, Syden-i ham. Ministry of Transport; : officers cordoned . off thej area while two fire appliances poured water oir the chemical, which is corrosive to the skin and issued to clean metal. The chromic acid was in jtwo plastic containers which 'had fallen from the back of a truck.
