The Head Office of the Company is in Christchurch where a distribution centre and factory are maintained and the company also operates branch offices in all main New Zealand centres. This is a senior accounting position with direct responsibility to the Managing Director for the accounting functions of the group. The successful applicant would also have ready recourse to specialist services in this area. The Company’s Secretary will be retiring in two years and it is envisaged that the successful applicant will assume this role also in due course. The company has recently installed its own Data Processing Department with an IBM System 3 and therefore some knowledge of computer systems would be advantageous. This position would particularly suit a younger qualified Accountant who will find ample opportunity to exercise his abilities and who wishes to become part of a vigorous management team.
