Pacer out for season
Special correspondent Invercargill The top-flight Southland pacer. Majestic Charger, has been put aside for the rest of the season. The Majestic Chance gelding was eased in his work after Slight filling developed in his near foreleg after the New Brighton Cup. The leg has since been X-rayed and found to have no structural damage, the problem being caused by a blood blister on the outside of the leg. Even though the problem was of a minor nature, the work he missed at the time influenced his trainer. Les Norman, to abandon plans for the Easter Cup av Addington. Norman intends to recommission Majestic Charger in June witli a view to racing at the ! National Meeting at Addington in August. In a restricted campaign of seven starts this season. Majestic Charger was a winner and four [times placed, earning $12,350 in [stakes. His latest setback was in Ino way associated with the fore'leg Injury which sidelined him last season being in the other leg.
