Hadlee’s place unfilled
No decision has yet been made as to who will replace the injured Dayle Hadlee in the Canterbury cricket team to meet Auckland in the Shell Trophy final at Lancaster Park, beginning on Friday. Hadlee withdrew from the representative side after he aggravated a back muscle injury that he originally suffered during the first test against England at Wellington last month. The convener of the selection panel (Mr John Grocott) said yesterday that Hadlee’s replacement would be chose n after net practice this evening or possibly delayed until after the final practice tomorrow evening.
