Sockbum. on Monday March 6. 1978, resolved the following matters by way of Special Order: BY-LAW No. 120/1978 ADOPTION OF NEW SCALE OF FEES IN RESPECT OF SUBDIVISION PLANS This By-law amends a previous By-law prescribing the fees payable on the submission of subdivision plans. HIGH PRESSURE WATER SUPPLY IMPROVEMENT LOAN No 2. 1978 - $1,342,000 To raise a loan of $1,342,000 for the purpose of meeting the increased costs of the Council’s modified High Pressure Water Supply Scheme, subject to the conditions of sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted on January 31, 1978. Repayment of the said loan and interest thereon shall be secured by an annual recurring special rate of .000735 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Paparua County. NOTE: It is not proposed to levy a special rate but to meet loan charges from revenue received from the Council’s High Pressure Water Supply system. It is also notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15% of the ratepayers of the County so demand in writing to the undersigned. Such notification must be received not later than 9 a.m on the day fixed for confirmation of the resolution. TEMPLETON SEWERAGE LOAN No. 2,1978 - $70,000 To raise a loan of $70,000 for the purpose of meeting increased costs and additional works connected with the Templeton Sewerage Scheme and reimbursing the General Bank Account amounts previously expended for this purpose, subject to the conditions of sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted on January 31, 1978. Repayment of the said loan thereon shall be secured by an annual recurring special rate of ,00499 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Templeton Urban Drainage NOTE: It is not proposed to levy a special rate but to meet loan charges from revenue derived from properties within the area of the sewerage scheme and from County General funds. It is also notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15% of the ratepayers of the Templeton Urban Drainage Area so demand in writing to the undersigned. Such notification must be received not later than 9 a.m. on the day fixed for confirmation of the resolution.

RURAL HOUSING LOAN No. 8, 1978 - $55,000 To raise a loan of $55,000 for the purpose of making advances for housing under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1949, subject to the conditions of sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted on January 31, 1978. Repayment of the said loan and interest thereon shall be secured by an annual recurring special rate of .0000256 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the County, NOTE: The repayment of the above loan is not intended to be a charge on County rates but will be secured by first mortgages over the properties on which advances are made. It is also notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15% of the ratepayers of the County so demand in writing to the undersigned. . Such notification must be received not later than 9 a.m. on the day fixed for confirmation of the resolution. Full copies of the above Special Orders are deposited at the Council Offices and are available for inspection by the public during office hours until Monday, April 3. 1978, when they will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers.
