Killing of dolphins
Sir, - Along with the annual clubbing to death of seal pups and the slaughter
of the declining mammal, the whale, we now hear and see on television the Japanese killing hundreds of dolphins simply because, to survive, they must eat fish. I hope many individuals and protest groups in New Zealand will join me in writing letters of protest to the Japanese Embassy in Wellington. — Yours, etc., CAROLE PHELPS. March 3. 1978.
