'Rhodesia talks may still fail'
NZPA-Reuter Lusaka The Rhodesian nationalist leader, Bishop Abel Muzorewa, has been quoted as saying that the internal set-: tlement talks in Salisbury have not achieved a settle-] rnent and could still col-i lapse. “There is no settlement ini Rhodesia.” the Bishop wasreported to have said in an ; interview with a “Times of’ Zambia" correspondent. “Settlement talks are! going on and there are issues that have been agreed upon. There are more crucial issues that have not been agreed upon that could influence the conference one way or the other — cause it to collapse completely.” he was quoted as saying. Bishop Muzorewa is one of three moderate black leaders holding the internal talks with the Rhodesian Prime Minister (Mr lan Smith). The negotiators announced last week that they had reached agreement in principle on a settlement. The semi-official Zambian newspaper quoted the bishop as saying the internal talks had in fact achieved only one thing — agreement on a franchise.
