Girl hurt in car crash

A girl wgs admitted to the Christchurch Hospital late last evening with lacerations and head injuries after the car she was driving hit a power oole in Jervois Street, New Brighton, near Marine Parade.

Helen Fay Airey, aged 16, of 52 Hope Street. Shirley, was the sole occupant of the car.

Her condition was not available last evening.
