National canoeing
PA Auckland Lorraine Jones, who has been canoeing for only two years, emerged as one of the stars of the national championships ot Lake Pupuke. She won the women’s WWR 500 m and TKI 500 m and came third in the KI 500 m. Results of Christchurch entrants:— KI junior 1000 m.—E. Morgan, 4min 29.8 sec. 1. K2 junior 1000 m.—N. Kerkham and C.
