An apricot whistle
The next time you eat an apricot, make yourself a little whistle out of the stone. You must rub the two flat ends of the stone with a piece of sandpaper or a nail file and after a while two small holes will appear. Continue working until the holes are big enough to enable you to take the inner kernel out with a pin. Now your whistle is ready. Hold the apricot stone between your lips and your teeth and blow into the holes. Some people try to imitate the songs of birds with this whistle.
