Manapouri fault
The Manapouri power station will be shut down for up to five days next week to replace faulty seals in one of the tunnels leading from the station. Power to the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter and the southern half of the South Island will be supplied by the Waitaki - Roxburgh systems.
