Arrests in Bangkok

NZPA Bangkok Two Australians and an American arrested at a Bangkok hotel and charged with illegal possession of high-powered explosives, have refused to talk to the police, a police spokesman said yesterday. The Australians were a man and a woman, both aged 25. the police said. An American woman, aged 29, was also arrested. They were accused of concealing in a Bangkok hotel room. 1.2 kilograms k>f explosives, firing caps, torch batteries, electrical connections, and a manual on how to make bombs. The police said the two women arrived in Bangkok on January 30. and the man arrived on February 5. Thev all came from Katmandu.
