Lewis out of tennis
NZPA-Reuter Palm Springs Chris Lewis, of New Zealand, was defeated by the experienced South African, Cliff Drysdale, in an open-ing-round match in the $U5225,000 American Airlines Grand Prix tennis tournament yesterday. Lewis lost to Drysdale in two sets. 3-6, 6-7. In a second-round match the defending champion, Brian Gottfried, of the United States, easily defeated Anand Amritraj, of India, 6-2, 6-3.
