PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER Applications are invited for the position of Public Relations Officer on the Headquarters staff of a National Society actively engaged in the welfare field. Applicants should have professional writing experience, preferably in journalism, as well as re-writing ability as the duties include the preparation of the national newsletter and special brochures. Experience in preparing press releases and evaluating advertising, including radio and television, are essential as is a sound and imaginative approach to fund-raising projects and promotions. Other duties include active help to the society's branches throughout New Zealand. This includes public speaking and assistance with publicity displays and fund-raising projects. The successful applicant must be prepared to travel as required within New Zealand but will be based in Wellington.
