Cosmos sign Tueart
NZPA London The North American soccer league champion. New York Cosmos, looking for a replacement for the legendary Pele, has signed Manchester Citv’s international winger. Denis Tueart, for a reported $250,000 fee. Tueart, a sharp, quick-footed forward, is reportedlv giving himself ag £45.000 signing fee, £9OO a week, and the security that British football could not offer him. That salary is roughly double what he was earning with Man Chester City Tueart now joins West GerI many's Franz Beckenbauer in Cosmos’ extensive line-up and follows another English inter national. Kevin Keegan, who left the English league champion. Liverpool, last year for Hamburg.
