Trial resumes
The trial of 18 activists charged with crimes arising from the bloody studentpolice clash in 1976 has resumed with the cross-exam-ination of a police officer by defence lawyers. About 700 people gathered under canvas tents of the army quartermaster department in Nonthaburi north of Bangkok, to listen to testimony piped over loudspeakers. — Bangkok.
