Yachts bunched up
PA Auckland All 16 yachts in the Whitbread round the world race were last night bunched together again and making little progress in very light breezes. For much of the day the wind died right away, allowing the smaller yachts in the fleet to catch up with the leaders and in effect restart the race. D’Or, which lost an hour at th start when she mistaken:; thought she was over the star line and returned. She has not made up the lost time and is ii the middle of the fleet. The extremely light condition are also aiding the French sloe 33 Export, which took handler honours for the Cape Town t Auckland leg. At the start o.
