MARKET RALLY STRONGER
Share prices were much stronger in active trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Rises outnumbered falls by almost four to one, and the N.Z.U.C. index rose 4.01 points to 286.56. An increase in its exports helped. N.Z. Steel firmed sc, but Republic eased a further 3c to 7c on a pessimistic annual report. Kempthorne Prosser firmed 20c and its preference shares 10c.
