Plan welcomed
Two black nationalist i groups within Rhodesia have ; welcomed a proposal by the 1 Prime Minister (Mr lan Smith) to give Africans full voting rights. One of them. Dr E. Gabellah, vice-presi-dent of the African National Council, said, “We think we have got what we have been fighting for.” Mr Joshua Nkomo, co-leader of the nationalists outside Rhodesia, called Mr Smith's proposal “damned rubbish.” — Salisbury.
