A bogus Guy Fawkes
It was dark, and I walked quickly towards the bonfire. But as I approached I saw a strange shape moving beside it. It looked like a fat python snake wriggling along in the long grass by the fence. I was scared, but I did not run away because I wanted to see what it was, Suddenly, it stood up and looked at me. It was a person. “Hellow ” he said. “How are you? I’m Guy Fawkes. What’s your name?” I said I was Patrick. He, told me to get him some’ new clothes because hiswere tattered and he was’ tired of wearing them. He said that if I did not get them he would blow up the house with his explosives. He also wanted Dad’s rifle, bullets, and some food, and said that I must not tell anyone, I said that Dad had the key for the cupboard that the gun was in and I would get into grouble if I took some food. I went inside and told Dad, who rang the police. They soon came and took Guy Fawkes to jail. The police told us that he was an escaped prisoner. PATRICK PETTERSON, (aged 6) (This is a good story, Patrick, and you dealt with your prisoner well. Tikumu).
