Anakiwa fees to rise
PA Tauranga Course fees for the Outward Bound course at Anakiwa will rise next year. The stannaid course fee of $3OO would rise to $340 from January 1, the retiring president of the Outward Bound Trust, Mr R. H. Granger, told the trust's annual meeting in Tauranga “It would be easy to keep Outward Bound afloat if we looked at it commercially." he said. “We have a good product which is easy to sell. Our tear is that it could become a school for the children of the affluent, so our primar. aim is to keep the course fee within the reach of most and to obtain assistance where it is needed.” Op the initiative of the Auckland Outward Bound Association an endowment, scholarship register bad been opened, Mr Granger said. The register was intended to provide free support for young people from all parts of NewZealand who were unable to obtain backing from other sources.
