Further losses
Australian sharemarkets experienced another bout of falls in prices and indices today as the Government tries to weather the current election campaign. Industrial leaders were Ak Int Con . 90 10 6c to 518 c. The Bank of NSW lost 8c to 516 c, the ANZ Bank fell 10c to 325 c, and AGC dropped 7c to 157 c. CSR was a cent down at 270 c and TNT fell 2c to 94c. However, Pioneer Concrete gained 2c to 141 c on expectations of a big profit jump, and EZI recovered 2c to 197 c. Uraniums suffered another bout of selling on the prospects of a Labour government being elected, and banning uranium mining.
