Potter’s Art
Elwyn James, who is 35, has been with Josiah Wedgwood and Sons, Ltd, since 1966 and now spends much of his time on tour demonstrating the traditional handcrafts of the potter.
He has travelled widely through the United States, Canada and Australia and demonstrated at major exhibitions and promotions in the United Kingdom.
From this morning Mr James will be at the city store of Haywrights, Ltd. Today, tomorrow and on Thursday he will demonstrate from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. On Friday, in addition to those times, there will be a session from 5.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mr James, was born in Harlech, North Wales, and attended Barmouth Grammar School before spending four years at Wrexham Art College, where he obtained the National Diploma in Design.
