Hurt woman in hospital

A Wellington woman is in a critical condition in Grey Hospital after the car in which she was a passenger left the road and ran into a ditch at Haast on Saturdayevening. Mrs Elizabeth Slade, aged 73, suffered multiple contusions to the lungs and head and knee injuries. The driver of the car, John McMath, of Blenheim and his wife were also admitted to hospital. Their condition is described as satisfactory.
