A former Christchurch civil engineer. Dr Clive Matthewson, is a contender for the Labour Party’s nomination for the Papanui electorate. Now 12 persons are seeking the Labour Party’s nomination for Papanui. Dr Matthewson, aged 33, married, with three children, completed a Ph. D. at the University of Canterbury. He now lives in Wanganui, where he is Labour Party branch chairman, a member of the Labour electorial committee, and publicity officer for the electorate.
