'Costly lunch’
PA Wellington The Prime Minister’s 24day trip to the United States is estimated to cost $70,153, the Acting Prime Minister (Mr Taiboys) has told Parliament. He was answering a
question by Mr R. W. Prebble (Lab., Auckland Central) who suggested later that as Mr Muldoon was largely making the trip to have lunch with President Carter, the $70,153 cost would go down as the most expensive lunch in New Zealand's history.
