Trainers fined
Jack Smolensk!, the driver of Tarsudi, in the Vice-Presidents Handicap, was fined $5O for causing interference to Patrick My Boy at the straight entrance. Tom Knowles, the driver of Captain Harcourt, and Noel Edge, the driver of Play Drift, were each fined $4O for jostling with I2oOm to run in the Kaikoura Cup. B. Graham, the trainer o-f Friendly Lass (Hotelkeepers’ Handicap), F. Newfield, the trainer of Mary Steel (Memorial Handicap), and R. Court, the trainer of Young Doreen (Memorial Handicap) were each fined $25 for the late scratching of their horses.
