Sir, — Some months ago in a leading article on the economy you came to light with that old cliche about too much money chasing too few goods, which I contested. Now it seems we have too
little money chasing too many goods. What a hopeless contradiction the private enterprise system is and when will the mass of the people learn that the solution is public ownership i.e. socialism? — Yours, etc. E. COX, October 28, 1977.
