Ailing girl denied visa
NZPA New Yorki Shakila Razak (above), a 10-year-old Pakistani girl dying of a heart ailment, has been denied a visa to go to the United States for corrective surgery. Although free transport has been set up and free surgery arranged to replace the child’s two damaged heart valves, the United States Consulate in Karachi rejected a request for a temporary visa for her. The American State Department has asked the consulate to review the case.
